Thanks, Bobbie

Bobbie Conner, a dedicated member of the college’s housekeeping staff for 21 years, retired in January.

Bobbi Conner at commencement Before leaving, Conner was presented with the Presidential Service Award from the college president in December, and not before doing something few college staffers ever do: She delivered an official sendoff to a retiring faculty member at Commencement in front of thousands of people. Conner’s appearance at Commencement was in 2014, when she presented Biochemistry Professor Roc Ordman (above) with his emeritus citation, at his behest. Her friendly personality endeared her to Ordman and to many students, faculty, and staff. At a retirement celebration in her honor, Conner said she looked forward to spending more time with her grandchildren.
