Caden Anderson (class of 2023, hometown Westmont, IL) accepted a finance and accounting internship with Aptar in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Aptar is a global manufacturer of consumer dispensing packaging and drug delivery devices. Caden is a double major in economics and sociology, and plays on the men’s basketball team. Caden has also received an endowed internship award ($2,500) from the Department of Economics and Business.

Faculty members Laura Grube, Brian Morello, and Diep Phan helped Caden prepare his resume. His coursework in accounting and finance will certainly be helpful (thanks, Professor Phan!). He has also had the opportunity to get further work experience while at Beloit College, as an analyst with Belmark Associates and working with Fitzgerald Asset Management, an opportunity he found through an alumni connection with Bill Fitzgerald’86.

As a finance and accounting intern, Caden explains he’ll be working with vendors on payment inquiries, preparing monthly internal control reports, and assisting Accounts Payable staff on daily activities - among other tasks. In addition, Caden notes, “They liked my resume and experiences so much that they are giving me additional responsibilities. They also want me to help troubleshoot their new SAP system that is being installed this summer.” Way to go, Caden!
