The Views from Mount Hunger

By Marjorie Ryerson’65
Green Writers Press, 2023

The Views from Mount Hunger by Marjorie Ryerson'65 Marjorie Ryerson’65 realized early in the pandemic that she’d written thousands of poems and wanted to share them. The former book editor, journalist, and longtime poetry professor at New England Young Writers’ Conference at Middlebury College and Castleton State College (later Castleton University) in Vermont curated her best poems for The Views from Mount Hunger, her first published poetry collection.

Her photography of the natural world, particularly water, formed the basis for an earlier book published in 2004. She orchestrated Water Music in collaboration with leading musicians who discussed the power of water in their work.
